Cancellation & Refund Policy
Effective Date: 7th November, 2025
This Cancellation & Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs all transactions conducted on the platform White Collar Professional, operated by TAARAN INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED (“we”, “our”, or “us”).
White Collar Professional (“WCP”) operates as an online professional marketplace that connects Service Providers(professionals offering services) and Service Recipients (clients seeking services). WCP also facilitates payment management through a secure banking/payment system to ensure fair and transparent transactions.
Nature of Services and Role of WCP
WCP provides an intermediary platform that enables the discovery, engagement, and payment of professional services.
WCP does not provide the professional services directly. The service contract exists solely between the Service Provider and the Service Recipient.
Payments are processed through a Payment Gateway integrated with WCP and may be temporarily held in a Bank/Escrow Account managed by WCP until completion of the agreed service.
WCP’s role in payments is limited to facilitation and payout management, not as a contracting party.
Payment Flow and Mechanism
For Service Recipients:
The Service Recipient pays:
The Service Fee (quoted by the selected professional) to WCP; and
The Platform Convenience Fee, which is non-refundable.
The Service Fee is withheld in a Bank/Escrow Account by WCP until the successful completion of the service as confirmed by both parties.
After confirmation of completion, WCP releases the payment to the respective Service Provider via the integrated Payout Services mechanism.
For Service Providers:
Service Providers pay:
A Listing Fee to register/associate themselves with the services listed on the WCP platform; and
A Fixed Closing Fee to WCP upon confirmation of a completed engagement.
After completion of the service and upon confirmation by the Service Recipient, the Amount i.e. Service Fees (less any applicable fees or deductions) is released to the Service Provider.
In case of dispute, the payment remains with WCP until resolution as per the Dispute Resolution Policy i.e arbitration.
Cancellations
a. Cancellation by the Service Recipient
A Service Recipient may cancel a booked service prior to the start of work, subject to the professional’s cancellation terms.
If cancellation occurs before service commencement, WCP may refund the total amount (excluding Platform Convenience Fees) after deducting any applicable administrative or processing charges.
If the service has already commenced, no refund shall be issued, and payment will be settled as per mutual agreement between the parties.
b. Cancellation by the Service Provider
If a Service Provider cancels or fails to deliver the agreed service, the Service Recipient may be entitled to a refund of total amount (excluding the Platform Convenience Fee).
The refund shall be processed within 7–10 working days from the date of confirmation of non-performance, after due verification by WCP.
Refunds
Refunds are applicable only for payments held by WCP and subject to the terms of service completion or cancellation.
Platform-level fees such as Listing Fees, Fixed Closing Fees, and Convenience Fees are non-refundable.
Approved refunds (if any) will be processed through the original mode of payment within 7–10 working days of confirmation.
Delays due to payment gateways or banks are beyond WCP’s control.
Dispute Resolution
In case of disputes related to service quality, non-performance, or cancellations, WCP may, at its discretion, hold the payment in its bank account until the issue is resolved between the Service Provider and Service Recipient.
WCP’s decision on fund release after examining reasonable evidence and communications from both sides shall be final and binding to the extent permitted by law.
No Liability and Disclaimer
WCP shall not be liable for the actual performance, quality, or completion of services offered by professionals.
WCP does not guarantee refunds except as per this Policy.
WCP’s responsibility is limited to managing the funds, payments and payout process through the payment gateway.
Changes to This Policy
White Collar Professional may modify this Cancellation & Refund Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on this page, and the “Effective Date” at the top will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes to this policy.
